Dennis van Veggel will be handing over his role as CEO to Jochem de Graaf

Dennis van Veggel, founder and CEO of TRAVIS Road Services, will step down from his position from January 1, 2023. He will hand over his responsibilities as CEO to Jochem de Graaf (current COO of TRAVIS) with full confidence. Through his new role as non-executive board member within the Supervisory Board, advisor and ambassador, Van Veggel will remain involved with TRAVIS and continue to follow all its developments at an appropriate distance. 

Grown into a standard within the industry 

What started several years ago as a spontaneous idea to give transport companies more insight into their truck service usage has grown into Europe’s largest online booking platform for road services with around 50 employees, over 1450 affiliated partner locations and tens of thousands of clients. Partly due to the trust and investments of large and leading players within the market such as Shell Ventures, BOM Brabant Ventures & transport icon Wil Versteijnen, TRAVIS has become the new standard within the industry. By also continuing to respond to the strong need to digitalise in the upcoming years, intensifying current collaborations with established names within the industry, continuing to enter into new strategic partnerships and adding new service locations to the network on a daily basis, TRAVIS will only become bigger and more relevant for an increasing number of carriers.

Because of my new position within the Supervisory Board, I will continue to look with great pride at all the developments that will take place around TRAVIS from an appropriate distance.” 

Jochem de Graaf gained significant experience at fast-growing software companies and later complemented this with venturing experience at early-stage investment funds. This makes him familiar with the day-to-day ins and outs of a fast-growing tech company like TRAVIS. 

De Graaf: ”It feels familiar to some extent, but also like an honour to take over from Dennis. I can’t wait to take on this challenge and continue what we started together. Furthermore, I am confident that, together with our fantastic team of colleagues and partners, we will realise Dennis’ initial ambition ‘to set the new standard within the industry’!”

TRAVIS customers can effortlessly find, book, and pay for services such as truck wash, tank cleaning, truck parking, and truck repair. Currently, 1450 service partners across 17 European countries offer their services via the TRAVIS platform. Apart from a booking platform, TRAVIS offers carriers a wealth of different tools to more efficiently plan their road service use. Ultimately, TRAVIS aims to contribute to a more cost-effective, efficient, and safe logistics industry.
