ESPORG Excellence in Truck Parking Award 2026: Raising Standards Across Europe
The ESPORG Excellence in Truck Parking Award 2026 highlights Europe’s leading truck parking facilities, recognizing best practices in safety, service, and overall quality, with a strong focus on the daily needs and well-being of professional drivers. Over time, the award has become a key benchmark for excellence and innovation within the sector, helping to raise standards across Europe.
The award goes beyond infrastructure alone. It encourages operators to create safer, more comfortable, and more human-centred environments by recognizing facilities that invest in quality, security, and long-term improvements. By showcasing exemplary locations, the initiative supports the development of a more attractive, sustainable, and inclusive trucking profession.
Most of the locations recognized in the award are also part of the TRAVIS network. We are proud to work with partners who share the same commitment to improving safety, quality, and driver comfort for professional drivers across Europe.
This year’s award winner is Bapaume Truck House in Bapaume, France, recognized for its excellent and comfortable facilities for drivers alongside its high-level security standards. Bapaume Truck House A1 offers 300 parking spaces for heavy trucks at the junction of highways A1 and A2. It is currently undergoing an audit for ESPORG Platinum certification, ensuring top-tier standards in security, cleanliness, lighting, access control, and driver facilities. For drivers on long and demanding journeys, truck parking areas are far more than simple stopping points. They often serve as a home away from home, offering security, comfort, and reliable services that allow drivers to rest properly and recover on the road. This perspective is reflected in the award’s current categories, which focus on different aspects of quality and responsibility within the sector.
Why does this initiative matter?
Road transport remains a fundamental pillar of European logistics, and access to high-quality, secure rest areas is essential to reduce driver fatigue, support physical and mental health, and improve road safety. Awards like this play an important role in promoting best practices and encouraging continuous improvement across the sector.
At TRAVIS, we fully share this vision. Most of the participants in the Award 2026 are already part of the TRAVIS network, reinforcing the importance of connecting drivers, fleets, and operators with trusted, high-quality locations. Through our platform, we support operators and fleets by making it easier to connect with trusted services on the road, from secure truck parking to truck wash, tank cleaning, and repair locations across Europe.
By enabling access to verified locations, bookings that reduce uncertainty, and better rest planning, TRAVIS directly contributes to driver well-being and smoother daily operations.
